- Zak, a Sarnia resident who has been actively raising local environmental issues in the group S.H.A.M.E.
They speak about Canadian asbestos exports, victims of asbestos exposure, a history of asbestos around Sarnia-Lambton's Chemical Valley, and other related topics.
(Note: I would have talked with other speakers from the rally if it wasn't so windy afterwards.)

Some of my thoughts
It was an important rally. It seems that this is the closest there has ever been to a march about Chemical Valley impacts. But it also was very much about Canada's asbestos exports, and it was good to see people taking a stand about those crimes. I think there would be some people around the area who have lost loved ones to asbestos who also would feel a sense of justice if protections were put in place so that people elsewhere in the world (e.g. in India) wouldn't be exposed to even more asbestos from Canada.
It partly was a rally to pin blame on the Conservative party. There also was a banner from SHAME about the Liberals.
The sisters who organized this rally don't live in Sarnia, so it looks like they won't be able to take on any follow-up there, themselves.
