CKUT's Off The Hour: Canada’s National Homelessness Marathon Celebrates Its Tenth Anniversary
This Wednesday, February 22nd marks the 10th anniversary of the Homelessness Marathon, a 14 hour live radio marathon that takesplace from dusk til dawn on the streets of Montreal, right outside the Native Friendship Centre Montreal (2001 St Laurent, corner of Ontario). The broadcast prioritizes the voices of individuals dealing with homelessness, housing issues and poverty, as well as front line workers. Courtney Kirkby speaks with CKUT's Aaron Lakoff, the Homelessness Marathon Coordinator.
