CKUT: Off The Hour May 29th edition part 1

On tonight's show, we'll hear excerpts from a roundtable discussion at this year's Montreal Anarchist Bookfair with anarchist students involved in the strike.

We will also hear part of the Smash the State report from Sound FM radio in Waterloo, Ontario. In the report, Dan Kellar discusses Bill C-309, the proposed Federal legislation which could put people in jail for up to 10 years for wearing a mask during a demonstration.

And then we'll bring you into the streets of Montreal, where CKUT correspondent Nicole Ebert captured some of the sounds from the now infamous casserola demos against Bill 78 last thursday.

But first up, we bring you our Red Square Report, CKUT's ongoing in-depth coverage of the Quebec student strike. Today we spoke with activist Alex Popovich about police brutality in the nightly demonstrations in Montreal.
