This show features the 2011 Halifax slam team. I did interviews with the 3 of 5 members of the team, all of whom are headed to Canadian Festival of Spoken Word (which includes the slam championships from October 11th - 15th. The show features poetry from all five members and a couple of others from some other great local poets.

I hope you had a chance to listen to the show. This week the focus will be CKDU itself.

This is the time of the year that CKDU raises funds to try and float, aka the Funding Drive (see ckdu.ca for more info). Each programmer is responsible for trying to share the load of raising funds to meet this noble objective. So, if you did like to show or any other show of mine you're heard, please consider calling 49 - happy between 8pm - 9pm and making a pledge when my show is on ... or any other time before or after and say it's for From the Margins. But if you have another show you'd like to make a pledge to instead, please do. It all goes to the same source in the end.
