Off the Hour: California Hunger Strike Solidarity

Coverage of the July 16th Solidarity Demonstration with California Prisoner's on Indefinite Hunger Strike. As of July 1st, Prisoner's in the Pelican Bay Supermaximum prison have been on hunger strike to protest what they describe as inhumane and torturous living conditions. For some, this is a sign of what's to come to Canada as the budget of Correction Services Canada doubles and the government seeks to build its own supermaximum prisons based on a US model.

The July 16th demon in Solidarity with California Prisoners on Indefinite Hunger Strike occured in Dorchester Square. Elise from the News Collective was there speaking to demonstrators.
