Saturday, October 13, 2012 --Food Not Bombs Sudbury Information Session: A Presentation by North American Food Not Bombs Co-Founder Keith McHenry
Location: Environmental Resource Centre (176 Larch Street, Sudbury, back entrance)
Free and open to all!
Food Not Bombs... more than a meal, we are a movement with a message.
You are invited to attend this inspiring presentation by Food Not Bombs co-founder Keith McHenry
Most people would elect to end hunger and poverty but many of the people running for office have another agenda, cutting social services while transferring our tax dollars to wealthy military and contractors and their corporate friends. While elected officials cut social services like unemployment insurance, food stamps, education, health care and other basic necessities they pass laws against the poor and evict the occupations that are seeking to defend the 99%.
Food Not Bombs is responding to the economic, ecological and political crisis by recovering, preparing and sharing vegan meals groceries with the hungry in nearly 1,000 communities. This presentation is sure to inspire you and your friends to take action and join the movement to build a sustainable future. This event may change your life. Copies of Keith’s new book “Hungry for Peace” will be available at the presentation.
This event is sponsored by Sudbury Food Not Bombs. To find out more about Food Not Bombs as a whole, please visit http://www.foodnotbombs.net.
