Join us for a gathering on Pandora Green
Sunday, August 22 from noon to 4 p.m.

Join the homeless, the disadvantaged, and others to SHARE YOUR STORIES, on Pandora Green on Sunday, August 22 from noon to 4 p.m. THAW is making a documentary about homelessness and how people feel about it. A SPEAKER'S CORNER BOOTH will enable you to share your stories on video.

Gentrification, brighter lighting and footpaths cannot be the only solution to solving the conflicts between opposing interests. It will not bring peace to our neighbourhood. Everyone has rights as well as needs, and we should be able to accommodate the needs of all citizens in our neighbourhood. This includes the homeless as well as residents and local businesses. Chasing the homeless out of the area will only move the problem of homelessness to another part of our city.

Come and share your story with us. We are open to al

  • Your experiences with the homeless
  • Your experience with "poor-bashing"
  • Your experiences walking down Pandora Green
  • Your experiences with police, security and people in authority
  • Your suggestions and solutions on how to end homelessness

THAW will be set up to film your stories and hear your point of view in the speaker's corner booth at Pandora and Vancouver. Requests for anonymity will be respected.
