Support the G20 Alternative Media Centre!

This post has not been approved by Media Co-op editors!

From our friends in Toronto:

DEAR INDEPENDENT MEDIA ACTIVISTS AND ALLIES,

Spread the word near and far: the G20 Alternative Media Centre is looking for media makers allied to social movements to get involved in covering the resistance to the G8 and G20 Summits.

Between June 18th and 28th we will be running a media centre in Toronto that will be a hub for co-ordinating coverage of these events and issues, by dozens of videographers, radio producers, zine makers, photo, web, and print journalists. We are asking media makers who want to get involved to fill out this  form.

HOW TO SUPPORT THE G20 ALT MEDIA CENTRE:

1) Get involved as a media-maker

If you have media production or editing skills in: videography, radio, zine-making, photography, web, or print, please consider being part of the media centre!

2) Be an on-site volunteer

On-site volunteers can support us in numerous ways, including being runners to get video footage from the streets to the editing suites.

3) Be a web volunteer

If you cannot make it to Toronto and want to be a web volunteer, you can help us by finding and tagging interesting stories related to resistance to the G8 and G20.

4) Donate or lend Equipment

We are also looking for support in terms of donated equipment, resources, and funds. Check out our Equipment Wish List below.

5) Spread the word!

We hope you can pass this support call-out to the various media that is allied to social movements.
