Let's change the debate: help make The Dominion's climate justice special issue happen!

Climate change is all over the news, from extreme weather (including record-setting temperatures), to wars for water, to rising cancer rates downstream from industrial developments.

But have you heard of climate justice?

Across Canada and the globe, people are organizing to highlight the human impacts of climate change, and to make sure our solutions focus on social justice, equality and empowerment – not just buying carbon offsets for BP's latest oil spill.

In March, we'll print 15,000 copies of The Dominion's climate justice special issue to dispatch across Canada. Our goal? To help shift the debate so that terms like 'Ethical Oil' from the tar sands are no longer accepted in polite company.

Can you give $20 to ensure the special issue is a success and change the debate in Canada? Click here to give now.

If one in 10 people on this list give $20, we can meet our fundraising goal. One in five people, and we can double our print run and reach tens of thousands of people. Any amount you can give will help, and will go straight to paying contributors, and for printing and distributing the special issue.

Individuals and organizations can also advertise in or sponsor the special issue. For details, contact dave@mediacoop.ca.

There are other ways – so many ways! – you can help out as well:

Distribute!
15,000 copies of The Dominion won't get into peoples hands on their own. If you can hand out 20 copies to co-workers, drop a stack at a local coffee shop, or send hundreds out across a national network, we can use your help. Click here to sign up.

Discuss!
The debate won't change if we're only reading articles while riding the bus or sitting in our living rooms. We want to work with you to set up launches and discussions across the country. If you want to organize an event in your community, get in touch! Email us at info@mediacoop.ca.

Thank you for your ongoing support!
