Stop the Tar Sands from Coming to Montreal - Strategy Meeting

About 200 people attended our community forum "The Tar Sands Come to Quebec" on January 19th! Check out our Facebook page for photos and media coverage, as well as this great video of the event. We are excited to be a part of a growing network of individuals who want to build a powerful grassroots movement and stop environmentally destructive resource extraction. Together, we can stop the tar sands from coming to Quebec.

To keep up the momentum, we have invited all participants to a follow-up meeting - and you are invited, too! At this meeting we will plan our next steps towards mobilization and collective action against the arrival of tar sands in Quebec. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 5th, at 7pm in the same location as the forum (at Concordia University, on the 7th floor of the Hall Building, 1455 de Maisonneuve Boulevard West).

If you would like to attend, please email us for a copy of our proposed campaign plan. The document we'll send you is the beginning of a plan based on what participants shared with us at the community forum. For each of the listed objectives, feel free to start brainstorming how to achieve it, who can help us achieve it, and what pitch we can use to convince our target audience.

We look forward to continuing this work with you!

Peace and solidarity,
