Join Cinema Politica Concordia for the Quebec premiere screening of MY BROOKLYN, a new doc which takes a close and personal look at the economic and political forces that push residents out of working class neighbourhoods to make room for luxury condos. The film is a personal story of the director’s own experiences with gentrification in New York, and her drive to understand her long-time neighbourhood along the lines of race and class. The event is presented in collaboration with the Planner’s Network and the Urban Planning Association at Concordia, and the directors will be in attendance for a post-screening Q&A. Entrance is by donation.
