Join us this Friday at the street level space, 1284 E 12th, for a
presentation and discussion with a visiting guest speaker and author. The
space was recently renovated and now has an increased capacity!
This evening will focus on an evolution of democracy from obviously
authoritarian forms of governance. We will deconstruct democracy as an
ideology that allows for an even greater manipulation of people's beliefs
and the details of people's lives and show how democracy, reputedly the
best form of government, is a force for exploitation and social control.
This topic has far reaching implications, from the imposition of democracy
through war and peacekeeping, to our everyday lives in Vancouver.
