Regina Day Of Action On Climate Change

The event will begin at noon on September 21 in front of the Saskatchewan legislature, as part of the global action on climate change centered on the United Nations Climate Summit in New York. Event will feature speakers, and a short march followed by an open stage for musicians and other performers.

On the steps of the Saskatchewan legislature we will be discussing the effects of climate change on the province.

Saskatchewan is already known for it's climate variations, but those variations are becoming more extreme. This year it has been wet, with few sunny days, but in 2013 we had temperatures in Regina reaching plus 49, in addition to shorter but colder winters, with windchill temperatures reaching -52 last year.

That's a hundred degree temperature variation. Do we want this to get worse?
