I am very disappointed in the way you handled your protest of the Olympic torch relay. You prevented people who were disabled and others to enjoy their moment. Protesting the Olympics at this stage is ridiculous. I too don't like the fact that my taxes are going towards the Olympics and that funding has been cut to the arts which affects me directly. Also, cuts to seniors, libraries etc. But, I would never do what you did: denying other peoples' rights to enjoy the torch relay or any other part of the Olympics for that matter. I wrote letters of protest instead. But I guess you wanted your 15 minutes worth of fame, and my dear, you got it! You should be held accountable for your actions for to think that no one in your group would throw marbles, stones etc. at horses, let alone the torch relayers is naive of you. Now you'll have to deal with the consequences of your stupid actions. Do not show your face in my town (Delta and Vancouver).

i mean you do understand no matter what you do right now to protest the olympics the media is going to spin it into something negative.
you cannot protest the olympics or anything for that matter with a bunch of people dressed in costumes and throwing marbles at horses hoping they will fall down.
thats just stupid and not very intelligent to begin with.

first off it is too late to protest the 2010 olympics.
the only real things worth while to protest at this point is the cutbacks by provincial and federal as well as municipal governments and what they will potentially affect.
the olympics is going to happen regardless of what you do i mean protesting things is a good thing and having your voice heard is also a good thing,but no one is going to listen to you or your group and you will not be given any kind of real podium for your message to get out.
this is the 21st century assuming your object is to have your message heard by as many people as possible you are failing terribly because of your failure to understand how the modern media works.
if you do not change you are doomed to fail in affecting any kind of real change.
the only way to combat the people in charge is to bring your message to the mainstream media in a way where there is no possible way they can accuse you of being a rouge group of bitter fringe lunatics.
this is how the general public sees you and unfortunately the general public will believe anything the media tells them.
a group of people marching through the streets chanting death to the establishment does no longer serve any purpose.
look its simple remember the apec protests and the wto protests.
the media took aways the voice of the real issues in that case and turned it all into a media frenzy about a bunch of lunatics smashing windows stealing coffee from starbucks and the real issues were completely ignored.
you have to take a different approach and you must be able to understand this i mean just watch your tv cant you see the spin they are putting on your protest.
would it not be better to find avenues to give you and your agenda five minutes of good airtime than five minutes of how they are currently presenting you on television now.
yes i do think the ioc is a disgusting organisation
yes i am against the olympics and anyone who asks me knows this.
yes i have been impacted by the government cut backs and the general screwed up state of affairs in this province.
however the olympics is a done deal.
you cannot change that.
the only real way to change anything is to prevent it before it happens.
the only real protest for the olympics at this point would be to state your case in a clear articulate manner within the crappy constraints of the mainstream media.
your message is not getting out to the people with the current avenues you have chosen.
i do believe in protesting things but i also believe that the current avenues taken to deliver the message have run there course.
no one will listen and even worse people will continue to see the left wing message as being one only supported by a group of fringe individuals with bad manners and poor english skills.
