The Pine Street Water Tower (also called the Ash Street Water Tower) has now been taken down. The City may turn the site into a small park in acknowledgement of the historic value of the structure. The Pine Street and Pearl Street water towers have book-ended the downtown area for many decades, and are a familiar feature in the Sudbury skyline. Some are mourning its loss, while others are celebrating the removal of what they considered to be a an eyesore.
