78 Poems in 78 Hours Against Bill 78: Call for Submissions

Starting at Midnight on June 1st, 2012, poets from across Canada and beyond are asked to show their solidarity with the student movement in Quebec, and protest Bill 78 by creating 78 poems over a 78 hour period.

Submissions are encouraged in text, audio, and video form in any language. All will be accepted and posted on a central blog (www.poesie78.tumblr.com). Various alternative media outlets, including www.litlive.ca, will be showcasing work as well.

Individuals are encouraged to pre-register by sending their name, location and the number of poems they pledge to create by emailing: poesie78@gmail.com. Please indicate if you wish to remain anonymous. The list of participating artists will be updated on the blog frequently.

Artist organizations and groups are also encouraged to sign-on as a collective body.
