Starting at Midnight on June 1^st, 2012, poets from across Canada and beyond are asked to show their solidarity with the student movement in Quebec, and protest Bill 78 by creating 78 poems over a 78 hour period.

Submissions are encouraged in text, audio, and video form in any language. All will be accepted and posted on a central blog (www.poesie78.tumblr.com). Various alternative media outlets, including www.litlive.ca, will be showcasing work as well.

Individuals are encouraged to pre-register by sending their name, location and the number of poems they pledge to create by emailing: poesie78@gmail.com. Please indicate if you wish to remain anonymous. The list of participating artists will be updated on the blog frequently.

Artist organizations and groups are also encouraged to sign-on as a collective body.
