While hundreds of #IdleNoMore actions for Indigenous sovereignty and rights are taking place across Canada, the Zapatista movement has taken to the streets of five cities in Chiapas. Thousands of Indigenous community members have descended on San Cristóbal de las Casas, Comitán, Altamirano, Ocosingo and Las Margaritas to deliver a message to the people of Mexico, in the first Zapatista public demonstration in over a year and a half.
