Not only was she a media maker and organizer, Palmira was a farmer. Here she is at work last summer. She will be dearly missed.

The Media Co-op editorial collective and board are devastated to learn of the illness and sudden death of Palmira Boutillier in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Palmira was a Media Co-op board member and an active member of the Halifax Media Co-op.

She brought incredible energy and strong commitment to the Media Co-op. Palmira always contributed new ideas and brought a unique vision to her work with the Co-op, she did the same in her writing.

Our deepest condolences to her family, her friends in Halifax, in BC, and elsewhere, as well as to her partner Miles Howe, who is a member of the editorial collectives of the Media Co-op and the Halifax Media Co-op.

Palmira, you will be dearly missed.

Sorry!

Hello, From what I just saw it looks like her death just happend today, whereas today is August 20th, 2013. I wonder if Miles got he news whereas he is suppose to be in New Brunswisk covering that Shale Gas Story, if it is still taking place that is. I know Palmira will be well missed. I know myself I am taking a break from my Media COOP work right due the to fact that I am soon moving. All my free time has been spent lately with making preperations to move. I sien the lease for my new place on August 28th, and moving between the 28th and the 31st of August. Thiefore I am A-bit behind on what is happening with the Media COOP. I was just looking at the site and got the news. Anyway, My Condolence to her family, Close friends, and Miles. I know she will be well missed by everyone who knew her. Palmira did a great job with her Media COOP duties, and she will be well missed by the Media COOP.
