Kitchener rallies against austerity cuts

KITCHENER — About 100 people held a peaceful “People’s Open House” outside Kitchener Centre MPP John Milloy’s office Friday to protest provincial cuts to programs for the poor.

But Milloy, who is also Ontario’s minister of community social services, was not at his King Street office. A note on his door said his “Holiday Open House,” scheduled for Friday was postponed.
