This movement has sparked thousands of teach-ins, rallies, and direct actions across the globe, and it has forced Stephen Harper to acknowledge issues he wants to ignore. What began as a series of teach-ins to protest laws that would scale back environmental protections and threaten Indigenous self-determination has now changed the social and political landscape of Canada and beyond.
