January 2012:
Over 200 people marched through Montreal today as part of the Idle No More movement. Participants spoke out against the impact on environmental protections in current federal legislation.
Hip Hop and Pow Wow Step trio A Tribe Called Red today leant their support to the Idle No More actions and Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence's hunger strike. On their Soundcloud account they released "The Road," a brand new piece with their particular brand of electronics and Pow Wow music. Maybe we'll be hearing it on the streets today?
On the eve of Idle No More protests and actions across the country, on Dec. 20th some 2,000 people held a flash mob Round Dance in a downtown Saskatoon Midtown Plaza.
